Stan Dueck retires from staff of the Church of the Brethren’s Discipleship and Leadership Formation
Stan Dueck will retire as director of Formation Leadership for the Church of the Brethren, effective July 31.
Tabitha Hartman Rudy to join staff of Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership
Tabitha Hartman Rudy will join the staff of the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership as part-time coordinator of English-Language Ministry Training Programs, starting May 1.
Shenandoah District calls interim district executive team
The Church of the Brethren’s Shenandoah District has called a team of people to serve in the capacity of Interim District Executive Minister beginning on April 1. Paul Roth, Jan Orndorff, and Steve Spire will serve as the core interim team with Wayne Pence and Glenn Bollinger assisting as consultants.
Tim Button-Harrison to retire from leadership of Northern Plains District
Tim Button-Harrison has announced his retirement from leadership of the Church of the Brethren’s Northern Plains District. At the Feb. 7-8 meeting of the district board, it was announced that he will retire on Dec. 31, 2025, after having served the district for more than 19 years.
Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center hires Audrey Hollenberg-Duffey as the new director
The Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center (SVMC) has hired Audrey Hollenberg-Duffey as the new director, beginning May 1. Prior to May, Hollenberg-Duffey will be working with retiring executive director Donna M. Rhodes to provide a good transition.
Marcia Sowles joins the Church of the Brethren Office of Peacebuilding and Policy
Marcia Sowles has joined the Church of the Brethren’s Office of Peacebuilding and Policy in Washington, D.C., volunteering as a Policy and Governmental Affairs associate. She will primarily focus on immigration policy by also providing legal expertise on related issues.
Leah Hileman to lead West Marva District
Leah J. Hileman began Dec. 10 as district executive minister for the Church of the Brethren’s West Marva District, serving in a half-time position. She was ordained in 2011 in Atlantic Southeast District and is currently pastoring Robinson Church of the Brethren in Seward, Pa., in a quarter-time capacity. She lives in Seward and will travel as needed to West Marva District to carry out this role.
Jeff Lennard announces his retirement from Brethren Press
Jeff Lennard has announced his retirement from Brethren Press, effective March 28, 2025. He has served as director of Marketing and Sales for the Church of the Brethren publishing house for 18 years, since Nov. 2006.
