The Church of the Brethren Yearbook publishes statistics as reported by congregations and districts. In addition, the Yearbook provides a denominational directory including all districts, congregations, and ministers. A new edition is produced annually.

2024 Yearbook Reporting

This page provides resources to assist congregations and districts in submitting their annual Yearbook forms. Completing these forms each year is a vital way for the church to stay connected. Thanks for the time and effort put into this important work!

Forms have been mailed for this year, due April 15, 2024, for congregations, and April 5, 2024, for districts. Plans to provide an online option for congregations and districts to submit their information are moving forward. More details will be given soon.

    Church of the Brethren membership in the United States in 2022 was 81,345, according to the statistical report in the 2023 Church of the Brethren Yearbook, published by Brethren Press. The 2023 edition--published late last year--includes the 2022 statistical report and the 2023 directory for the denomination.

    Church of the Brethren membership in the United States and Puerto Rico is just over 87,000, according to the statistical report in the 2022 Church of the Brethren Yearbook, published by Brethren Press. The 2022 edition--published late last year--includes the 2021 statistical report and the 2022 directory for the denomination.

  • April 15 is deadline for Yearbook forms

    April 15 is the deadline for congregational forms to be received by the Yearbook Office in order for information to be included in the 2022 Church of the Brethren Yearbook.

  • Yearbook Office offers guidance on measuring online worship attendance

    Many congregations have added an online option to weekly worship as part of their response to the pandemic. Last year’s survey by the Church of the Brethren Yearbook staff showed that 84 percent of Church of the Brethren congregations responding said they had worshiped online during the pandemic. When asked if they planned to continue this in the future, 72 percent said yes. That means online worship numbers are now a meaningful part of total worship participation.

The 2021 Yearbook--published last fall--includes the 2020 statistical report and the 2021 directory for the denomination.
