‘Practicing the Way: The Sabbath Practice’ offered by Part-Time Pastor; Full-Time Church

The Church of the Brethren’s Part-Time Pastor; Full-Time Church program will be sponsoring “Practicing the Way: The Sabbath Practice” for all multi-vocational pastors this Spring. Over four Monday sessions, the group will spend time learning about the practice of Sabbath, practicing the practice (in between sessions), reflecting on the practice, and processing the practice together.

March Ventures course to focus on creation care through faith

The March offering from Ventures in Christian Discipleship, a program based at McPherson (Kan.) College, will be “God’s Earth, Our Home: Engaging Creation Care through Faith.” The course will be presented by David Radcliff, director of the New Community Project. It will be held online Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (central time).

Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center offers workshop on Love Feast basics

“Love Feast: Past, Present, and Future” led by Denise Kettering-Lane will be held on Friday, March 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Eastern time) at Cross Keys Village in New Oxford, Pa. This free event sponsored by the Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center (SVMC) is in-person only. Continuing education credit is available for the fee of $10.

February Ventures course to focus on pastoral and congregational well-being

The February offering from Ventures in Christian Discipleship will be “The Ecology of Vitality: Mutuality in Pastoral and Congregational Well-Being.” Presented by John Fillmore, pastor of Nampa (Idaho) Church of the Brethren and district executive minister of the Church of the Brethren’s Idaho/Western Montana District, the course will be held online on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (central time).
