
With God’s help and the generous support of individuals and congregations, we celebrate the following initiatives from 2020
- The Office of Global Mission nurtured relationships with Church of the Brethren sister churches in 11 countries and partners in 8 countries.
- Discipleship Ministries welcomed LaDonna Sanders Nkosi as director of Intercultural Ministries, and hosted or co-hosted 68 webcast sessions.
- The Emergency Disaster Fund provided pandemic grants to 29 Church of the Brethren congregations in the US and to Global Brethren churches and partners in 11 countries for food and supplies.
- The Office of Ministry shifted ministerial ethics training online and invited multi-vocational pastors to take part in the new Part-Time Pastor, Full-Time Church program.
- The Office of Peacebuilding continued its ongoing advocacy work in Washington, D.C., beginning efforts in economic peacemaking.
- The Global Food Initiative responded to requests for assistance from 19 partner organizations in 9 countries and in the US.
- Brethren Volunteer Service oriented 18 new volunteers and supported a total of 56 volunteers throughout the year.
