Gaston Pierre-Louis has joined the Part Time Pastor; Full Time Church program of the Church of the Brethren’s Ministry Office as a “circuit rider.” He will be filling in after Founa A. Badet, director of Intercultural Ministries, steps down as a “circuit rider” effective July 31.
A third round-table discussion sponsored by the Ministry Office of the Church of the Brethren will focus on the questions of placement surrounding interim/transitional ministry, including lifting up the resources and guidance that districts are able to supply.
Stan Dueck, director of organizational leadership for the Church of the Brethren, served as keynote speaker on the topic “Ministry in a BANI* World” (*Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear, and Incomprehensible)
Tara Hornbacker will lend her expertise as instructor for the course “Interim/Transitional Ministry: More than Maintenance,” offered by the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership. This is an “asynchronous online” course taking place from July 31 through Sept. 24.
