Gaston Pierre-Louis has joined the Part Time Pastor; Full Time Church program of the Church of the Brethren’s Ministry Office as a “circuit rider.” He will be filling in after Founa A. Badet, director of Intercultural Ministries, steps down as a “circuit rider” effective July 31. Originally from Haiti, Pierre-Louis has been a member at Miami (Fla.) Haitian Church of the Brethren and is the head of the Evangelism Ministry at the church. He says this about his taking on the new role: “I am happy to serve as a circuit rider for Haitian Creole pastors by helping to promote self-care, visiting Pastors one-on-one, and helping them to grow through learning opportunities for multi-vocational pastors within the Church of the Brethren.”
