National Older Adult Conference 2023 will meet on the theme ‘God Is Doing a New Thing!’
“God Is Doing a New Thing!” is the theme for the 2023 National Older Adult Conference (NOAC), inspired by the scripture text from Isaiah 43:19: “I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Letter calling for end to US involvement in Yemen war is signed by 105 groups
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, a letter was sent to Congress urging members to support efforts to repeal the authorization for the US to participate in the ongoing war in Yemen. The Church of the Brethren’s Office of Peacebuilding and Policy was one of the faith-based and civil society organizations that signed the letter.
Global Church of the Brethren Communion holds meeting in the Dominican Republic
For the first time since 2019, leaders of the Global Church of the Brethren Communion met in person, hosted by the Church of the Brethren in the Dominican Republic (DR). Leaders representing Brazil, the DR, Haiti, Honduras, India, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Spain, and the United States met for five days, including days of meetings and visits to agricultural projects.

The strategic location of our building and the large parking lot made us the focal point of essential water and food distribution after the devastation our community received from Hurricane Ian.

Pinecrest Community is sold to Allure Healthcare Services
Pinecrest Community, a retirement community and nursing care facility in Mount Morris, Ill., has been sold to the for-profit Allure Healthcare Services. The sale was finalized on Friday, Dec. 2.
