Washington City supports asylum seekers bused to nation’s capital

Due to numerous humanitarian crises around the world, thousands of people are seeking asylum in the United States, some of whom make perilous journeys to the southern border. In April 2022, the state of Texas began sending many of these asylum seekers in buses to Washington, D.C., without plans for their care or in coordination with the city government or others in the area.

Jesus Lounge Ministry partners to support at-risk youth

Jesus Lounge Ministry has partnered with the Student Life Alliance in West Palm Beach, Fla., where pastor Founa Augustin Badet is the treasurer, and the Delray Beach Library “Let’s Talk Period” program to support at-risk teens and tweens with hygiene and feminine hygiene kits. The ministry is a Church of the Brethren new church start in Atlantic Southeast District.

Bethel Community Center: A gathering place where friends become family

The eastern plains of Colorado are a wide and windswept expanse with few people and fewer churches. As the nation expanded westward in the early 1900s, a number of new church plants were undertaken. Bethel Church of the Brethren, 9 miles north of Arriba, is one of those still in existence today.

Northview Church begins holding Service Sundays
