The Council of District Executives (CODE) held meetings in Greensboro, N.C., June 30-July 2 prior to the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference.
Dennis Beckner, pastor of Columbia City (Ind.) Church of the Brethren in Northern Indiana District, has been elected to the position of moderator-elect of Annual Conference. He will serve as moderator in 2027. The delegate body of Annual Conference held this year’s election on Thursday afternoon, July 3. In addition to the position of moderator-elect, they elected the following (listed here by position).
The Health Care Education Scholarship program is now available to members of the Church of the Brethren who are enrolled in degree programs for nursing, medicine, dentistry, mental health care, physical and occupational therapy, and other health professions. This scholarship is made possible by the Health, Education and Research Endowment.

Prayer for the international guests who will be attending Annual Conference this year is requested by Global Mission executive director Sharon Brugger Norton. She requests general prayers for their safety and safe travels, with no problems at the border, “and a reminder to greet them warmly and thank them for coming.”
