The Church of the Brethren’s Inter-Agency Forum (IAF) met in Florida on Jan. 27 and has issued the following statement. The IAF includes officers of the denomination’s Annual Conference; the general secretary of the Church of the Brethren and the chair of the Mission and Ministry Board; representatives of the Council of District Executives; and executives and chairs of the boards of the three Annual Conference agencies: Bethany Theological Seminary, Eder Financial, and On Earth Peace.

Council of District Executives winter meeting includes intercultural connection
The Church of the Brethren’s Council of District Executives (CODE) held its winter meetings Jan. 28-Feb. 1 in Miami, Fla., combining business sessions with an intercultural continuing education experience that connected with local congregations.

The Council of District Executives (CODE) held meetings in Greensboro, N.C., June 30-July 2 prior to the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference.
Council of District Executives holds winter meeting
The Church of the Brethren Council of District Executives (CODE), representing the denomination’s 23 districts, met Jan. 25-29 in Melbourne, Fla., with some members coming early to do a well-received professional education training event with facilitator Lon Swartzentruber.
Council of District Executives holds annual winter meeting
The Council of District Executives (CODE) held its annual winter meetings Jan. 20-24 near Melbourne, Fla., with some members also attending the Church of the Brethren Inter-Agency Forum (IAF) meeting that followed. Twenty-two of the denomination’s 24 districts were represented, along with Office of Ministry director Nancy Sollenberger Heishman.
Council of District Executives meets
The agenda for the Council of District Executives meeting included conversations with various denominational agencies and programs, a consultation time with the Standing Committee of district delegates, discussion of some of the items coming to this year’s Conference business sessions, and approval of a 2024 budget and a new dues structure.
Denominational leaders hold annual winter meeting
Representatives from 19 of the Church of the Brethren’s 24 districts gathered for the Council of District Executives (CODE) annual winter meeting in Florida on Jan. 7-11. The district executives were joined by Annual Conference officers and agency representatives for portions of the meeting.
