Aida L. Sánchez has resigned from her position as coordinator of Spanish-Language Ministry Training Programs effective May 26. Sánchez began her work with the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership, a collaboration of the Church of the Brethren’s Office of Ministry and Bethany Theological Seminary, in March 2020.
She is a 2019 graduate of Seminario Biblico Anabautista Hispano de la Iglesia de Los Hermanos, the academy’s ministry training program for Spanish speakers. Sánchez also attended the Interamerican University of Aguadilla in Puerto Rico, where she majored in education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language.
Ordained in the Church of the Brethren, Sánchez has been a church planter with Nuevo Comienzo Church of the Brethren in Kissimmee, Fla. From 2009 to 2016, she co-pastored Nuevo Amanecer Church of the Brethren in Bethlehem, Pa. She also has served as a “circuit rider” for the Part-time Pastor, Full-time Church program and as director of district programs for Atlantic Southeast District.
