Beginning on July 11, Part-time Pastor, Full-time Church “circuit rider” John Fillmore will be facilitating a 10-week discussion on Peter Steinke’s book, How Your 21st Century Church Family Works.
In spite of their diversity, when people gather together they often interact in predictable ways; the congregational family can behave like a biological family. Using the insightful perspectives of Family Systems Theory, Steinke offers a helpful road map to navigate some of the complex actions and reactions that occur in a congregational system. His book explores the landscape of emotional relationships within the church.

Please pray… For this book study and all who participate.
Open to pastors, the discussion will include conversations about the emotional forces that draw us together and push us apart, the ways we avoid and engage in conflict, and the benefits of being a non-anxious and differentiated leader in the congregational setting.
Sessions will be held virtually on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. (Eastern time). Continuing education credits will be available, and the program will provide participants a copy of the text.
Registration is limited, so reserve your spot soon at https://forms.gle/GArVEkhKKjJ5bgVKA
