Eight recommendations from the study committee on Calling Denominational Leadership (known at this Conference as unfinished business item three), were adopted by the delegate body on Saturday, July 5, 2025, including one amendment.
The Calling Denominational Leadership Study Committee, created in response to a 2022 query, presented an interim report to this year’s Annual Conference. The original query was brought by the Nominating Committee of Standing Committee, which is the group responsible for the ballot to be voted on at Annual Conference by the delegate body.
The Calling Denominational Leadership Study Committee has developed a survey and is asking Church of the Brethren members to complete it. The survey asks about the experience of the nomination process and suggestions to improve the process.
