Beth Sollenberger will retire on Sept. 30 as interim director of administration for the Church of the Brethren’s Atlantic Southeast District. She has served in the position since April 1, 2024. She has been working both from her home in Goshen, Ind., as well as onsite in the district.
Highlights of her tenure with Atlantic Southeast include the district hosting a Council of District Executives (CODE) event featuring the multi-cultural ministries in the district, and Sollenberger working with other district leaders and staff from across the denomination to create the Deportation Defense Response Team (DDR). Following her retirement, the DDR Mutual and Legal Aid Fund will have a new address that will be announced soon.
Previously, Sollenberger was district executive minister for South/Central Indiana District for nearly 11 years; served for several years in Michigan District as interim executive and then as district executive representative on the executive interim team; worked on the Church of the Brethren staff as director of Stewardship Education and then as Congregational Life Team coordinator for Area 2; and filled pastorates in several districts.
