The 13 members of Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) Unit 339 have begun service at their project sites. The volunteers completed orientation on July 27 to Aug. 4 at Inspiration Hills Camp in Burbank, Ohio.

Below are the names of the new volunteers with their congregations and/or hometowns and project placements:
Colleen Caylor is from Ossian, Ind., and will serve at Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle, Northern Ireland.
Miriam Erbaugh of Manchester Church of the Brethren is from North Manchester, Ind., and will serve at Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle, Northern Ireland.
William Hart is from Kittery, Maine, and will serve at Gould Farm in Monterey, Massachusetts.
Elise Harter is from North Manchester, Ind., and will serve at the Shalom Project in Lancaster, Pa.
Samuel Hupp of Manchester Church of the Brethren is from North Manchester, Ind., and will serve at the Church of the Brethren Office of Peacebuilding and Policy in Washington, D.C.
Dimitri Janko is from Bayern, Germany, and will serve at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Darek Leschber of Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren is from Elgin, Ill., and will serve at Abode Shelter in Fremont, Calif.
Leah Mack of Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren is from Elgin, Ill., and will serve at the Bernardo Kohler Center in Austin, Texas.
Kelan McConnell of La Verne Church of the Brethren is from Chino, Calif., and will serve at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Dominic Nozzarella is from Washington D.C., and will serve at Washington City Church of the Brethren and the Center on Conscience and War in Washington, D.C.
Josethy Perez is from Chicago, Ill., and will serve at L’Arche in Ireland.
Gillian Thompson is from Carmel, Ind., and will serve at Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle, Northern Ireland.
Nico Ziegler is from Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and will serve at Camp Stevens in Julian, Calif.
