A Shine release
The Shine curriculum has released an all-ages resource centered on six key faith practices, in order to help congregations cultivate meaningful faith practices in the home.
The six practices—talk, pray, celebrate, serve, learn, and worship—are simple, repeatable actions designed to help families integrate faith into daily routines. By focusing on these rhythms, churches can empower households to live out their faith beyond Sunday morning.

Shine Everywhere’s free, downloadable six-week worship series centers on the “Six Practices that Grow Faith at Home.” Parents and caregivers are the first and most influential spiritual teachers in a child’s life. Congregations play a vital role, partnering with Christian parents by providing encouragement and resources to them.
This all-ages resource equips pastors and faith formation leaders with practical, ready-to-use materials that connect Sunday worship with everyday life. The series provides everything needed to lead a cohesive, engaging worship experience for congregations of all sizes.
Each week of the series includes:
- Sermon ideas rooted in the weekly practice
- Story time elements for children and intergenerational settings
- Visuals to enhance worship
- Suggested songs and prayers
- Short, insightful articles for leaders
- Take-home materials to help families continue the practice during the week
“This series is about bridging the gap between church and home,” said Shana Peachey Boshart, Shine Everywhere project facilitator. “We want to give congregations tools that are both theologically meaningful and immediately usable—resources that help faith stick throughout the week.”
