Michael Brewer-Berres and Emily Bowdle are concluding their work with the Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) office at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill.

Brewer-Berres has resigned as interim program assistant for BVS, effective Dec. 16. She began working with Brethren Volunteer Service as a BVS volunteer on Aug. 23, 2021, when she started as the BVS orientation assistant. She was part of BVS Unit 325. Her first BVS assignment was at Quaker Cottage in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Bowdle, of Denton (Md.) Church of the Brethren, started as orientation assistant for BVS on July 18, 2022. She concluded her work in the position on Dec. 16. She was part of BVS Unit 324. Her previous BVS assignments were with the Asian Rural Institute in Tochigi-ken, Japan, and Camp Myrtlewood in Myrtle Point, Ore.
