Camp Alexander Mack is a summer camp and year-round retreat center. The recently adopted mission statement reads: “Camp Mack provides a sanctuary where people connect with God, experience creation, and build Christian community.”
Camp Alexander Mack seeks a Volunteer to serve as the receptionist for the camp. Responsibilities include answering phone calls and responding to individuals who walk in seeking assistance; receiving, recording, and preparing for deposit all operating receipts; performing regular office tasks, especially those related to guest services; and being responsible for the daily pickup and distribution of mail. The volunteer may also run the gift shoppe. If mutually agreed upon, the volunteer could serve as camp counselor during the summer camp season. The goal of this position is to provide clerical support to the guest services and development staff.
Requirements include the equivalent of at least two years of college, competency in in or the ability to learn quickly office productivity software such as Word, Excel, database management, and financial programs. The abilities to type, answer the phones, and lift and carry 25 pounds are also required. The volunteer should support the important ministry of holy hospitality offered at Camp Mack.
