Camp High Hopes is a year round recreational and respite facility that works with children and adults with disabilities in a camp setting. Volunteers help lead activities such as arts and crafts, ropes courses, dancing, cooking, and archery, and will be able to use their own skills to initiate creative programming opportunities. Camp High Hopes provides an opportunity for volunteers to work directly with campers and enjoy fun activities while building community.
Job Title: Program Fellow
Duties and Responsibilities:
Throughout the summer, the Program Fellow would be expected to help lead activities, such as arts and crafts and high and low ropes courses. They may also serve as a counselor, moving from activity to activity with the campers. During the off-season, the program fellow may help with an after- hours program, assisting people with disabilities in recreational and practical skills such as bocce ball, dancing, cooking, and archery. Camp High Hopes is a young non-profit that will be looking for help the rest of the time with marketing, fundraising, recruiting, and social media. This could include helping with our Haunted Lodge Fund Raiser and at fairs for people with disabilities.
Additional Information:
Any creative skills, such as wood working or painting, will be utilized in programming with campers and in expanding what we offer in the future.
