A historic peace church, the Church of the Brethren has ministries that seek to support youth and provide space for them to experience spiritual growth, become advocates for peace and justice, be in community with one another, and serve as the hands and feet of Jesus. Two of these ministries, FaithX (formerly Workcamps) and Youth and Young Adult Ministries (YYA), work with youth and young adult programming within the church.
Job Title:
(A) Assistant FaithX Coordinator
(B) Youth Worker
Duties and Responsibilities:
(A) Assistant FaithX coordinators help to plan and carry out FaithX short- term service trips for children, youth, and adults in the United States and beyond.
(B) YYA seeks a Youth Worker to help with programs such as National Junior High Conference, Young Adult Conference, and Christian Citizenship Seminar.
Requirements:
Requirements for both positions include organizational skills, commitment to Christian values and beliefs, initiative, communication and writing skills, and dedication to empowering youth through service and leadership. A Brethren background is preferred.
