The Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad (CIS) is a multi-faceted organization seeking to promote solidarity and cultural exchange across borders between the Salvadoran people and others in the search for development and dignity. We work to promote and strengthen a culture of solidarity that implies accompaniment, respect for equality of different cultures, and mutual support between people. We seek a Grassroots Community Organizing and Delegation Exchange Intern, whose work will focus in one or more of the following areas: women’s businesses, CIS youth formation and scholarship program, clean water campaign, and delegation support. Tasks may include conducting and transcribing evaluations, facilitating workshops, writing guides and recommendations, designing a database, and accompanying delegations. Opportunities may also exist in other areas such as election observation, fair trade crafts, and English instruction.
Intermediate to advanced Spanish skills are required. Experience is preferred in one or more of the following areas: business administration, accounting, development, women’s rights, education, environmental science, or oral translation.
