La Puente Home is a charity organization that serves the homeless, the hungry, and people living in poverty in the San Luis Valley (SLV) by providing emergency shelter, food services, advocacy, and transitional assistance. Over 20% of SLV residents live at or below the poverty line. Additionally, La Puente operates a network of social enterprises, including Rainbow’s End Thrift Store and Milagros Coffee House. These businesses not only support the local economy but also directly fund La Puente’s programs, while providing meaningful jobs and workforce development opportunities to community members.

(A) Enterprises Associate
(B) Homeless Shelter Staff
(C) Outreach/Homeless Prevention Case Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
(A) The Enterprises Associate provides support to the fundraising activities at two La Puente Enterprises locations.
(B) Homeless Shelter Staff run day-to-day shelter operations, including preparing and serving meals, checking in with clients, and overseeing chores. This volunteer will also provide case management for clients.
(C) The Outreach/Homeless Prevention Case Manager provides emergency assistance funds to clients in crisis and handles intake paperwork.
Requirements:
English fluency is required, and Spanish language skills are preferred.
