Project Description:
FBU is a non-profit organization with a focus on community development in rural Ecuador. FBU’s main mission is to enhance the creative capacities of individuals from the countryside to the capital city. To accomplish this goal, they generate organizational, educational and technological proposals that improve the living conditions of the communities within a framework of equity, solidarity and shared co-responsibility. Their projects are based on three main tenets: agro-ecological development, respect for nature, and environmental education.

Job Title: On-Site Volunteer

Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn how to work and cultivate in the field enjoying a permanent harmony with nature. Volunteers will work with agroecology, permaculture, and integration with development and conservation projects in helping different indigenous and labor communities of the area. Volunteers will share field labor with locals and other volunteers in preparing the land, installing systems of irrigation, sowing and harvesting products, and tending and protecting animals.
