The Vision Statement for the Church of the Brethren, slated for consideration at the 2012 Annual Conference in July, is now available for inspection and review on the Conference website. That was one of the actions taken by a committee charged with interpreting and presenting the statement to the Conference delegates.

Daily Devotion Leaders Announced for 2012 Annual Conference
Moderator Tim Harvey has announced leaders of the devotional times that will start the Monday and Tuesday business sessions at the 2012 Annual Conference. The Conference takes place in St. Louis, Mo., on July 7-11.
Annual Conference New Web Design, 2012 Information Packet Are Unveiled
The Conference Office has unveiled a new website design at www.brethren.org/ac , where the information packet for the 2012 Annual Conference is now available to download. Postcards giving the web address have been sent to each congregation of the Church of the Brethren.
Committee Announces Decisions Regarding 2012 Annual Conference
The Program and Arrangements Committee of Annual Conference has made a number of decisions including approval of all applications for booth space in the exhibit hall in 2012. Among applicants was the Brethren Mennonite Council for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Interests (BMC). Other decisions include seating delegates at round tables, a “Continuing the Work of Jesus Wall,” a service project to benefit the city of St. Louis, Robert Neff as leader of a Sunday school session, and a new logo.

Annual Conference Officers Provide Theme, Prayer Calendar for 2012
The Annual Conference officers have announced the theme for next year’s Annual Conference of the Church of the Brethren: “Continuing the Work of Jesus. Peacefully. Simply. Together” (Matthew 28:19-20). The officers invite Church of the Brethren members to join them in prayer on Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m. (each in their own time zone) until the start of next year’s Conference. The officers have provided an online prayer calendar guide for this time of prayer each week.

Brueggemann to Preach for 2012 Annual Conference
Preachers, worship leaders, and music leadership for the daily worship services at the 2012 Annual Conference have been announced. The 2012 Annual Conference of the Church of the Brethren takes place in St. Louis, Mo., on July 7-11 next year. Renowned Lutheran scholar, preacher, and writer Walter Brueggemann will speak for the opening worship service of the Conference.
