“Faith in Motion: Pastor Irv Heishman’s Experience in Honduras” is the first “Faith in Motion” live, virtual event hosted by the Deportation Defense Response (DDR) Team of the Church of the Brethren. The event takes place online on Thursday, June 18, at 7 p.m. (Eastern time).
“Come listen as Irv shares about his experience visiting two church members who were deported to Honduras,” said an invitation. “During our time together, Irv will share about these church members’ experiences in being returned to Honduras and adjusting, as well as the time they spent together alongside partnering ministries in Honduras.” The event will include Q&A followed by a time for learning ways to support ongoing efforts to provide for and advocate for immigrants.

DDR is an initiative of several Church of the Brethren districts with the denomination’s Intercultural Ministries and On Earth Peace.
