A release from Camp Alexander Mack
As we enter a new century of ministry, we are announcing some new roles and directions for staffing. These new responsibilities are designed to respond to the changing needs and expectations of our campers, guests, and supporting community.
Deanna Beckner will take on a new position as director of advancement. In this role, she will reach out to donors, the local community, churches and denominational organizations, camp alumni, parents, volunteers, partner organizations, and current and former staff for the purpose of communication and connection. This will allow her to spend more time discovering our constituents’ needs and assisting Camp Mack in meeting them. She will also take over event responsibilities such as the Camp Mack Festival, Annual Dinner, and Volunteer Celebration.
A new person will be hired to take the role of Guest Services coordinator, working with our partner groups, constitutional camps, banquets, weddings, retreats, and other people Camp Mack’s ministry will serve. For each group and/or event, the coordinator will determine needs, develop contracts, coordinate with staff and services, handle needed communications, and manage the business services needed for the level of holy hospitality Camp Mack is known for delivering. Recruitment of this position begins immediately for a smooth transition. The transition will begin once the new coordinator is hired and trained.
We ask for your prayers for Deanna Beckner and the search for a new member of our staff.
