A release from FaithX
Join us this summer in Northern Ireland, where vibrant cities and breathtaking coastal landscapes provide the backdrop for learning about the region’s remarkable journey from conflict to peace. The dates of the trip are June 14-22, 2026.
Forever marking this country’s rich history is a 30-year conflict that began in the 1960s known as “The Troubles,” in which Protestant and Catholic communities clashed politically and socially over issues of identity, civil rights, and the country’s status as part of the United Kingdom.

Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) was first invited to send youth workers to Belfast in 1972, and since then has sent almost 200 volunteers to work alongside many organizations and church groups.
During our FaithX trip, participants will have the opportunity to visit and volunteer with several of the current BVS projects in Belfast. We also will learn more about the country’s history and witness how faith continues to shape healing in a place once marked by deep division.
Come with your walking shoes on, and be ready to grow your faith, connect with other Brethren, and explore a new place!
Registration for the trip to Northern Ireland will open soon at www.brethren.org/faithx
Older adult trip
Registration is open now for an older adult trip to Camp Ithiel in Gotha, Fla., on Feb. 22-27, limited to 20 participants. We invite all adults ages 50-plus to join FaithX at Camp Ithiel for a week of volunteering, relaxing in the southern sunshine, and growing in faith together! During our trip, we will complete projects at camp that may range from brush and plant removal to kitchen assistance to maintenance and cleaning. There will be options that are suitable for all abilities. We also will have daily worship and devotions, plus plenty of time to fellowship in community. Go to www.brethren.org/faithx/older-adult
