Nancy Miner will retire Oct. 31 as office manager of the Church of the Brethren General Secretary’s office. She has worked for the denomination for more than 31 years in a wide variety of positions.
Miner began as a denominational employee in April 1993, first working in the insurance and communications departments of Brethren Benefit Trust (now Eder Financial) for 11 years. She then served as administrative assistant for the Association of Brethren Caregivers for four years. She continued in that role with the Caring Ministries of the Church of the Brethren until May 2009, when she became manager of the General Secretary’s office, a position she has held for 15 years.
Miner has been hired alongside her husband, Blaine Miner, as co-district executive minister for Western Plains District, to serve in a half-time role.
