Each year, Church of the Brethren congregations across the country are invited to form one large worshiping congregation on Annual Conference Sunday by tuning in to the webcast of worship that morning.
This year, you and your congregation are invited to join the streaming worship on Sunday, July 7, at www.brethren.org/ac2024/webcasts.
Different time zones or worship times are not an obstacle, because the live webcast can be rewound and paused to allow any location to start streaming the beginning of the service to match the start of a local church service (as long as it is after 8:30 a.m. Eastern time).
In addition to the Sunday morning service, all of the other Annual Conference daily worship services also will be streamed.
Here is the schedule (all start times are in Eastern time):
— Wednesday, July 3, 6:45 p.m.
— Thursday, July 4, 6:45 p.m.
— Friday, July 5, 6:45 p.m.
— Saturday, July 6, 6:45 p.m.
— Sunday, July 7, 8:30 a.m.
The services will be streamed in both English and Spanish. Worship bulletins are available to download and print. Individuals can easily participate via a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The organizers are delighted when worshipers from around the country use the chat function to share words of welcome with the wider church. Each worship service will be recorded and available for anyone to view afterwards.
If your congregation joins the Sunday morning service live, please use the chat to let the organizers know where you are located and how many are gathered to worship where you are. If you wish to share later, email annualconference@brethren.org after the service with information including the name of the congregation, location, and how many worshipers were in attendance.
