Iglesia de los Hermanos — Una Luz En Las Naciones (Church of the Brethren — a Light to the Nations) has congregations throughout Spain and on the Canary Island of Lanzarote. Outreach efforts include community gardens and work with youth and those addicted to drugs and alcohol. A US-based advisory council consults with Spanish Brethren leaders on church organization, leadership development, and theological training opportunities.


Global Food Initiative issues grants for community gardens, agriculture initiatives (April 20, 2018)

The Global Food Initiative of the Church of the Brethren has given a number of grants in the first few months of 2018 to support community gardening efforts, agriculture initiatives, and other work to support food security in a variety of areas across the globe. Brethren from Dominican Republic and Spain start house churches in Europe (January 26, 2018)

In the 1990s, a wave of Dominicans began leaving their home country to look for a better life in Spain. Members of Iglesia de los Hermanos (the Church of the Brethren in the Dominican Republic) were among them. In time they established the Church of the Brethren in Spain and continue to plant new fellowships across the country. Read more »

Delegation visits emerging church in Spain (May 1, 2013)

A delegation of six traveled to Spain April 1-10, representing groups who are providing financial and logistical support to the emerging church in Spain.
