Don Mitchell has begun in a newly created role as director of Intercultural Ministries for the Church of the Brethren’s Atlantic Northeast District. He has been serving as director of Church Development for the district since August 2006.
“Over the years, Don has served the Atlantic Northeast District faithfully and contributed tremendously to the life of the church,” said an announcement from district executive minister Pete Kontra. “Brother Don will continue serving the District, now focused on our ethnic congregations and leadership as newly created director of Intercultural Ministries. Out of the strong relationships Don has built with our diverse brothers and sisters he will continue to bring his leadership and vision for fostering and strengthening our ministries together. We celebrate all God is doing and are excited for new opportunities in this vital and thriving ministry.”
