The National Youth Conference (NYC) office has been a flurry of activity recently! With NYC set for July 18-23, now less than three months away, many final preparations are underway. (Find out more about NYC at www.brethren.org/nyc.)
The National Youth Cabinet traveled to Elgin, Ill., in mid-April and spent their time going through inventory, planning their introduction at NYC (you don’t want to miss it!), learning about their roles during NYC, and building connections with each other.
The Worship and Music coordinators also met in mid-April, in Philadelphia, Pa. They spent their time organizing all 10 NYC worship services, working to make them a bridge between scripture and living out faith, as well as spiritually engaging and enriching. The group also got to visit Germantown Church of the Brethren, the first Brethren congregation in the Americas dating back to 1723.
Also in April, Becky Ullom Naugle, director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, and Rachel Johnson, NYC coordinator, traveled to Estes Park, Colo., for one last onsite visit before welcoming everyone in July.
The mountains and the YMCA of the Rockies are ready for July 18-23 and so are we!
— Rachel Johnson is serving through Brethren Volunteer Service as the 2026 National Youth Conference coordinator.
