By Anna Schweitzer of the National Youth Conference office
Christmas greetings from the National Youth Conference (NYC) staff! As we are in the season of Advent, preparing for Christmas in a time of expectation and excitement, the NYC staff also has their eye on another important event coming up: the opening of registration for NYC 2026!
NYC 2026 registration will open on Jan. 5, 2026, on the first Monday of the new year, at 11 a.m. (central time) / 12 noon (Eastern time).
National Youth Conference will be held on July 18-23, 2026, at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colo. The theme is “Light Within Us” inspired by Matthew 5:14-16. Youth who have completed ninth grade through one year of college at the time of NYC (or are age equivalent) and their adult advisors are invited to attend.
NYC is a once-in-a-lifetime experience
We are so excited to begin the process of getting youth to Colorado and giving them a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We have been working hard the past few months to line up activities, service projects, and speakers for NYC, promoting NYC through various avenues, and hosting the Advisor Preview Weekend in October.
While registration will remain open until June 2026, there is a great benefit to registering early: saving money! For all of January and February, the registration price will be reduced by $50. Be sure to purchase your t-shirt before NYC too, as a limited and more expensive quantity will be available onsite during NYC.
And if you still need a Christmas gift for the youth in your life, consider giving them money to go toward their NYC registration fee. This fee covers all lodging, recreation, food, and programing throughout the week, and ensures that all of NYC will be filled with thoughtful and engaging activities.
We wish you the happiest of holidays in this time, and hope to see you at NYC next year. Give the NYC staff their greatest Christmas wish by registering early on Jan. 5!
