A release from Brethren Press
The latest in our Covenant Bible Studies series is here! Angela Finet has written a powerful study on Sabbath: God’s Call to Peace. Order 10 or more, and you’ll get 20 percent off. This is a great option for an adult Sunday school class or a Bible study group.
As people of peace, we understand that God’s Shalom is more than the absence of violence. In the same way, Sabbath is much more than the absence of work. Through this 10-session study, we will expand our understanding of Sabbath as God’s call to peace–peace with God, creation, and neighbor; peace of God, Jesus, and creation; and peace as freedom and justice for all. We will explore together how intentional acts of Sabbath-keeping benefit not only self, but society as well.
Angela Finet lives in Mount Wolf, Pa., and is pastor of Mountville Church of the Brethren.
