The Summer 2024 unit of Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS), Unit 335, has completed orientation and has been assigned to project sites across the United States and in Northern Ireland. The unit’s orientation took place July 28 to Aug. 5 at Camp Colorado in Sedalia, Colo.
The volunteers, their congregations or home locations, and project sites are listed below.

Calvin Brown of Manchester Church of the Brethren in North Manchester, Ind., is serving at the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland.
Lauren Hazel of Brownsburg, Ind., is going to Greenhill YMCA in Northern Ireland.
Katelyn Hoffmann of Pfullendorf, Germany, is working at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Arkansas.
Jan and Tom Hurst of McPherson (Kan.) Church of the Brethren are at the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland.
Rachel Johnson of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren in Quarryville, Pa., is working with FaithX in the Brethren Volunteer Service office at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill.
Isabel Kruse of Huntingdon, Pa., is working with the Greenhill YMCA in Northern Ireland.
Svea Lembcke of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, has gone to Camp Stevens in California.
Melika Rassoli of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, is currently at L’Arche Syracuse in New York.
Kate Ruebke of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren in Weyers Cave, Va., is volunteering at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Arkansas.
Henry Schenk of Bavaria, Germany, is working for Abode Services in California.
Carla Sornig of North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, also is working at Abode Services in California.
