FaithX 2025 locations and dates are announced

FaithX is excited to announce service trip opportunities for all ages in 2025! A total of 12 service trips are planned. Opportunities include individual or combined trips for junior and senior high youth, a family service weekend with childcare provided, the older adult trip in March, and international or domestic trips for adults.

Registration is now open for the older adult trip. Registration for the summer trips will open on Jan. 8, 2025, at 7 p.m. (Eastern time).

Two junior high experiences are planned for 2025:

June 8-12 in Richmond, Va., volunteering with local organizations to clean up and serve in the community.

July 8-12 hosted at University Park (Md.) Church of the Brethren, packing meal boxes and sorting canned goods at the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C.

Four junior high/senior high experiences are planned for 2025:

June 8-13 at Brethren Woods, a camp in Keezletown, Va., supporting outdoor ministries by completing a variety of indoor and outdoor projects and assisting staff as they prepare for the summer season.

June 24-29 in South Bend, Ind., volunteering with organizations that support the under-resourced by providing food, clothing, and shelter.

July 6-10 in Winston-Salem, N.C., making a positive impact in partnership with SPARK and alongside formerly or currently homeless individuals.

July 20-25 in Boston, Mass., partnering with a variety of organizations that support the under-resourced, including Greater Boston Food Bank and Cradles to Crayons.

Two senior high experiences are planned for 2025:

June 15-21 in Portland, Ore., working with SnowCap Community Charities to package and hand out food to those in need, and Blanchet House to serve hot meals to the unhoused community.

July 13-19 in Little Rock, Ark., volunteering at Ferncliff Camp to assist with needs for their summer program, disaster assistance center, farmstead, and nature preschool.

Two adult experiences are planned for 2025:

June 1-7 at Camp Koinonia in Cle Elum, Wash., completing projects at camp, serving at local organizations, or a bit of both depending on group size.

July 13-20 (plus travel time), an international experience in Uganda, eastern Africa, volunteering and visiting with the emerging Church of the Brethren congregations in need of assistance with construction projects at their churches and nearby orphanage.

One older adult experience is planned for 2025:

March 2-7 at Camp Ithiel in Gotha, Fla., participating in camp improvement projects, devotions and worship, and fellowship in community. Registration for this trip is open now at www.brethren.org/faithx.

One family experience is planned for 2025:

July 25-27 at Camp Mardela in Denton, Md., completing projects at camp but also joining in creative service that allows both children and adults to be involved. All ages are welcome and childcare is provided for those too young to volunteer or if children need a break to play or rest.
