Intercultural Ministries seeks volunteer ‘frontliners’ (in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole)

Intercultural Ministries Frontliners: A volunteer opportunity for Church of the Brethren members as liaisons in their districts, working alongside the Intercultural Ministries office to help carry out the vision of togetherness as described in the compelling vision (www.brethren.org/ac/compelling-vision):

“Together, as the Church of the Brethren, we will passionately live and share the radical transformation and holistic peace of Jesus Christ through relationship-based neighborhood engagement. To move us forward, we will develop a culture of calling and equipping disciples who are innovative, adaptable, and fearless.”

Key commitments of the Intercultural Ministries Frontliners:

Purpose

Become a Church of the Brethren Intercultural Frontliner
Work in collaboration with interested district members

Educate

Be a liaison for the Intercultural Ministries office (district, community, denomination).
Use resources provided or suggested by others in the network to brainstorm how to be and remain TOGETHER.

Meet

Create core group of diverse frontliners to support and carry out the task.
Build relationships and networks in the congregation and community.
Help your congregation connect with ongoing efforts in your community
Organize your congregation to participate in the community, district and denomination for intercultural purposes
Quarterly reports on progress and challenges to navigate different opportunities that may occur.
