The Ministry Office of the Church of the Brethren invites both pastors and laity to an INTERIM/Transitional Ministry Round Table Discussion. This Zoom session will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. (Eastern time).
Perhaps you are a pastor interested in interim ministry or a member of a congregation that is facing change. Maybe your pastor has resigned, your attendance numbers have changed, or you’ve made the decision to sell your building.
While the future of each congregation is unique for every setting, congregations moving through transitions have the opportunity to experience that season as a time of transformation and growth. Discerning the best steps forward during a season of change is an intentional process, grounded in God’s leading.

This discussion will be presented by members of the Interim Ministry Working Group and sponsored by the Ministry Office. You’ll be in conversation with:
— Tara Hornbacker, current interim minister in Southern Ohio and Kentucky District, and retired Bethany Theological Seminary faculty who taught the Brethren Academy’s interim ministry class.
— Christy Dowdy, offering interim ministry leadership with two different congregations and a retired pastor who has completed the Bethany Seminary Interim Ministry class.
— Enten Eller, currently serving as the transitional interim pastor at Ridgeway Community Church of the Brethren in Harrisburg, Pa., who is certified for interim ministry through the Interim Ministry Network.
