Although we are still in the season of Advent 2025, it is not too early to prepare for the beginning of the season of Lent 2026—and Brethren Press is offering the opportunity for congregations and individuals to pre-order next year’s Lenten devotional.
The Wondrous Works of God: 2026 Devotional for Ash Wednesday Through Easter written by Carol Davis is available for $5 each for the regular print edition.
“This devotional invites you to stop and consider the wondrous works of God—mystery and magnificence, intentionality of worlds without end—and to discover that all things are possible because of our connection to the Creator through the natural world,” said the announcement. “Through exploring specific aspects of nature, Old Testament stories and prophesies, Jesus’ ministry and passion in the Gospels, and other biblical references as they relate to the wondrous works of God, we can discover personal and universal relevance to our own lives.”
Author Carol Davis earned a master of arts in theopoetics and writing from Bethany Theological Seminary and has served as music director for Canton (Ill.) Church of the Brethren for more than 40 years.
The Brethren Press devotional series is published twice a year in anticipation of the Advent and Lenten seasons. These pocket-sized paperback devotional books are suitable for individual use and for congregations to give to their members.

Also available is the opportunity to become a seasonal subscriber, which is easy and saves money. Seasonable subscribers pay only $9 a year for both regular-print booklets or $18 a year for both large-print booklets. Subscriptions are renewed automatically each year at the discounted rate and bulk quantities can be adjusted with a simple call. Subscribers can cancel their enrollment in the program at any time.
To sign up as a seasonable subscriber call 800-441-3712 and ask about the seasonal devotional standing order program.
