The volunteers from Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) Unit 338 have begun work at their project sites, after completing orientation earlier this month. This was the fall 2025 unit of BVS. The 10 new volunteers include 6 from EIRENE, a longterm partner organization based in Germany.
The new volunteers, their congregations or hometowns, and project sites:
Cäcilia Dohmes, an EIRENE volunteer from Düsseldorf, Germany, is going to La Puente Home, Alamosa, Colo.
Julian Ernst, an EIRENE volunteer from Stuttgart, Germany, is going to Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, Little Rock, Ark.
Josiah Esch of Lancaster, Pa., is going to SnowCap Community Charities, Portland, Ore.
Sonja Hasenbrink, an EIRENE volunteer from Singen, Germany, is going to La Puente Home, Alamosa, Colo.

Mika Hennecken, an EIRENE volunteer from Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Germany, is going to Abode Shelter, Fremont, Calif.
Lydia Neuhauser of Hummelstown, Pa., is going to the Asian Rural Institute, Tochigi, Japan
Biko De Sausa Vilela Neumann, an EIRENE volunteer from of Berlin, Germany, is going to Abode Shelter, Fremont, Calif.
River Norton of Goshen, Ind., is going to East Belfast Mission/The Larder, Belfast, Northern Ireland
Sam Reichenbach of Manchester Church of the Brethren in North Manchester, Ind., is going to CIP Center for China Asia Pacific, Beijing, China
Matthias Roos, an EIRENE volunteer from Frankfurt, Germany, is going to Bernardo Kohler Center, Austin, Texas
