Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) Unit 337, the 2025 summer unit, completed orientation at Camp Colorado on July 27 through Aug. 4.
At orientation, director Chelsea Skillen and volunteer coordinator Virginia Rendler prepared the new BVSers for their upcoming year of service as they created a supportive community with their fellow volunteers.
The nine new volunteers include five from EIRENE, a longterm partner organization based in Germany.
The new volunteers, hometowns, and project sites are listed as shown in the photo (from left):

Wesley Nance of Monte Vista, Colo., is assigned to Project PLASE in Baltimore, Md.
Benjamin Ajeti, an EIRENE volunteer from Düsseldorf, Germany, is assigned to SnowCap Food Pantry in Portland, Ore.
Jackson Barbour of Decatur, Ga., is assigned to Camp Stevens in Julian, Calif.
Mia Dauser, an EIRENE volunteer from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, also is assigned to Camp Stevens
Jonathan Schwarte, an EIRENE volunteer from Münster, Germany, is assigned to the Center on Conscience and War in Washington D.C.
Vera Logose of Crowley, Texas, is assigned to the Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual in Silver Spring, Md.
Ella Hedges of Dayton, Ohio, is assigned to Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Marilyn Megala, an EIRENE volunteer from Neuwied, Germany, is assigned to Lydia’s House in Cincinnati Ohio
Jessika Kreuzer, an EIRENE volunteer from Witten, Germany, is assigned to Abode Shelter in Fremont, Calif.
