Annual Conference bits and pieces

– Registration as of 4:45 p.m. Friday, July 5: 410 delegates, 1,022 nondelegates both in-person and virtual (45 people attended virtually), for a total of 1,432 participants.

– Worship attendance in-person on Friday evening: 935.

— The worship offering for the Core Ministries of the Church of the Brethren, with a focus on the Discipleship and Leadership Formation department: $8,513.50. The online offering totaled $1,360.

— There is a revised total for the Witness to the Host City offering announced yesterday. The current total is $15,418.24.

— The Annual Conference onsite blood drive carried out with staff of Versiti collected a total of 121 units of blood. On Thursday, 75 whole blood units and 23 double red units were collected for a total of 46 units the first day. On Friday, 35 whole blood and 7 double red units were collected for a total of 49 units from the 48 people who signed in today. Said the organizers: “Thank you to all donors and the Versiti staff for a great two days.”

The blood drive had a virtual option for offsite blood donation for people who could not come to Annual Conference in Grand Rapids. The Virtual Blood Drive count so far is: 12 whole blood units including 1 double red, plus 5 donations of platelet. This includes some people who donated through a blood drive at Lititz (Pa.) Church of the Brethren. Union Bridge (Md.) Church of the Brethren is planning a blood drive on July 19.
