Annual Conference Choir 2023

Invitation to the 2023 Annual Conference Choir

Please join us in a joy-filled choir experience! We hope to deepen our connection to each other and to worship as we blend our voices in song. That connection is one way we “walk in the way of Love” (Eph 5:2). This year, we will sing “Order My Steps” (Glenn Burleigh/Mark Hayes), “Instruments of Your Peace” (Kirk and Deby Dearman), and “Home” (Heather Sorenson). You can listen to get a start learning here on the website. I would be so grateful if you would share your vocal gifts in service of meaningful worship and “Living God’s Love” at AC ’23.

—Marty Keeney, Adult Choir Director

Marty Keeney is Minister of Music at Stone Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. It is a second career for Marty, a retired psychiatrist, and he loves going to work each day. There is such joy and satisfaction in building community while making music in support of worship. He grew up in central Pennsylvania attending Harrisburg First COB. Music became life-long love when he learned to sing in the Juniata College touring choir in the early 1980’s. He is most grateful to directors he has sung under for their modeling of conducting and for academic training at Juniata and at the University of Montana, Western.  Fly fishing and woodworking are beloved hobbies for Marty, and he is married to Jill with whom he has two adult sons.
