Gathering Meal
NEW!! Come meet and greet other conference goers on Wednesday evening, July 2, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Joseph’s restaurant located in the Koury/Sheraton Hotel. A cash buffet will be available for $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for ages 12 and under. No reservations are required. Questions on table tents will encourage conversation. Singer-Songwriter, Brad Croushorn, will be performing in the lobby outside the restaurant with a blend of music. Please join us!
Exhibit Area Activities
Visit the exhibit area to connect with exhibitors, meet and greet other conference-goers, and perhaps play a game with friends.
- Wednesday Evening at 8:30 p.m. Join Eder Financial at their booth for ice cream treats and learn more about Eder’s services.
- Enjoy games and puzzles or just relax in the Hospitality Area sponsored by the Virlina District.
- Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Join Bethany Theological Seminary President Jeff Carter at Cupcakes with Carter for a Q&A session and enjoy a cupcake.

Story Circles: Building Intercultural Competence

The purpose of the Story Circles experience is to develop intercultural competence and communicate across differences to:
- Demonstrate respect for others
- Practice listening for understanding
- Cultivate curiosity about similarities and differences with others
- Develop empathy
- Engage in critical reflection on one’s own intercultural competence development, as well as on the intercultural experience
- Develop relationships with culturally different others
