Flying

Flying to NYC? The most accessible airport to fly into is the Denver International Airport (DIA). Plan to fly into the airport in the morning or early afternoon, as the shuttle from the airport to the YMCA takes about two hours.

Airline Discount Information

Three of the main airlines (American, United, and Southwest) have similar group booking policies. Groups of 10 or more in which every individual shares the same flight itinerary can receive guaranteed rates by contacting a representative from the airline and requesting a quote. If you will be traveling with a group smaller than 10, but would like to utilize this policy, contact the NYC office (cobyouth@brethren.org) and the NYC staff will do their best to pair you with other flyers from your district!

Ground Transportation From Airport

There are several options for transportation from DIA to the YMCA. We advise that you book your transportation well in advance (at least a month before NYC!) as we will be visiting during Colorado’s busy season. Options will be limited if trying to book the day of travel.

Bustang

Bustang is the most economical option with round trips around $15. There is one charter bus route that runs from Denver Union Station (the local train station, not DIA) to Estes Park. In order to utilize this service, you would also need to find transportation from the airport to the train station. The most economical option for this step is to take the A line tram, for only $1.35.”

Denver Charter Bus

Denver Charter Bus has many options for large vehicles- up to groups of 57. This could be a way for districts or large youth groups to ensure that all youth are on one vehicle. It could also be an economical option if the cost is split between a large number of people. 

Estes Park Shuttle

Estes Park Shuttle has graciously given us a promo code to use when booking, which will give you 10% off their listed prices. Use BRETHREN26RT when booking a round trip and BRETHREN261W if only booking a one-way ticket. A round trip ticket is $140 per person, using the discount code.

Colorado Canyon Connection

Colorado Canyon Connection is another shuttle option. They utilize smaller vehicles and would be best for groups of 10 or less individuals. A round trip ticket is $160 per person.

Rental Cars

There are many options for simply booking a rental car at DIA, if you are coming with a small group. We highly suggest reserving these early as lots of travelers will likely be using these services.

Buses

Instead of flying, is your group using a bus to get to NYC? The NYC team would like to know, if so! Buses can be driven directly to the YMCA. More information will be coming soon about which specific building to drive to!
