Service Project

The National Youth Conference office is excited to share about our service project! Our service project will be making Fleece Tie Blankets!!

Many children find themselves in the hospital due to illness and can always use a bit of extra comfort. Fleece Tie Blankets are made to be donated to children’s hospitals to help provide some of that comfort.

NYC will be partnering with Fleece and Thank You, a nonprofit who supplies the blankets to make and then helps to distribute them to hospitals across the United States. During the service project at NYC, we will be coming together to cut and tie the blankets. There might even be a chance to leave a note or message for the recipient of the blanket!

In addition to physically serving, we will also take some time to reflect on why we serve, how serving impacts us, and the history of service in the Church of the Brethren. Find below the assigned date and time that your district will be participating in the service project during NYC!
