{"id":1761,"date":"2026-09-10T21:54:32","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T21:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/yya\/?p=1761"},"modified":"2026-09-10T21:54:32","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T21:54:32","slug":"anointing-prayer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/yya\/anointing-prayer\/","title":{"rendered":"Anointing Prayer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Cindy Laprade Lattimer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God who spoke the light into being,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who breathed your spirit into us like a flame,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who walked with us in the person of Jesus,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And continues to guide and sustain us in darkness, in light, on the mountain, and in the valley,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Draw near to us in ways that we can sense and recognize.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May the sparks of commitment made tonight be tended to with care and intentionality \u2013 both in our communities of faith and within our own burning hearts \u2013 enabling us to shine light, reflect Christ\u2019s heart and embrace the spirit.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you God, for your faithfulness this week \u2013 and all weeks.
