2: <\/strong>[enters and goes over to 1<\/em>] What\u2019s so funny? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Oh, I\u2019m just driving my cat crazy. Watch\u2014when I flick the laser pointer around, it goes bonkers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Ha! It\u2019s climbing the wall! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>You should have seen what it did when I moved the laser around on my brother\u2019s leg! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Cats sure can be goofy, eh? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Yeah, I love him, but he\u2019s not always the smartest little furball. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Although\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Although what? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Don\u2019t you ever feel like that sometimes? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:<\/strong> Like a cat? I\u2019m not really in the habit of licking myself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>No, no. But \u2026 well, sometimes I feel like I\u2019m doing that whole laser pointer routine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>You chase your tail and climb up the walls when you see something move? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>C\u2019mon, get serious. I\u2019m not talking like I have nine lives or tuna cravings here, but\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:<\/strong> But\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Well, sometimes I feel like I\u2019m chasing something I can never quite get hold of, you know? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Huh. Well, yeah, I guess I kind of get that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Like, I\u2019m always hearing at church how God\u2019s right there for me, and that people feel God walking with them and calling them to do this or that, but \u2026 I have trouble feeling God\u2019s really there. It\u2019s like I\u2019m chasing that feeling, but my paws keep coming up empty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Cat metaphor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Yeah. Maybe they\u2019re not so goofy after all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>I get it. They say about how we can pray to God, and God listens and all that, but a lot of times it just feels like one big game of hide and seek. I believe, I really do, but \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Exactly. It\u2019s hard when you can\u2019t lay your hands on something. Sometimes I can kind of feel it, but other times it feels so, so \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>So far away? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Yeah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:<\/strong> [Sigh<\/em>] Maybe we\u2019re chasing the wrong light. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:<\/strong> What do you mean? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Well, instead of just doing all the things people tell us we should do or have to do, maybe it\u2019s really about finding God inside ourselves, you know? Maybe the light\u2019s not \u201cout there\u201d but in here [taps chest<\/em>]. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:<\/strong> That whole \u201cSeek and you will find\u201d thing? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Maybe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: <\/strong>Sometimes faith makes my head hurt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: <\/strong>Yeah, and all this thinking is making me hungry. Want a snack? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:<\/strong> Sure. All of a sudden I could go for some tuna. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
