Do you know about Earth shine?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So if you look you can see this crescent moon.\u202f It shows up because the moon is reflecting the sun.\u202f But if you look closely, you can also see the rest of the moon right?\u202f The full circle shows up faintly.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well the light that illuminates the rest of the moon so that sometimes we can see the whole thing – where do you think that light is reflecting from?\u202f The Earth!\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s earth shine!\u202f We think a lot about the ways the moon reflects the sun\u2019s light.\u202f But the earth ALSO reflects the sun\u2019s light.\u202f Which is pretty awesome! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And it is a good reminder to us as we reflect God\u2019s light.\u202f We aren\u2019t the only ones doing it.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
God\u2019s light gets reflected in lots of surprising places. And that doesn\u2019t diminish your light.\u202f But instead adds to the beauty of the whole. It all works together to enhance the wondrous work of God.\u202f Kinda like earth shine.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As you leave worship this morning, you will be invited to take a small mirror. They will be handed out in the breezeways.\u202f Please handle them with care. They are fragile.\u202f May the mirror remind you to reflect the light of Christ always.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head into your small groups trusting that if there is room for both the moon AND the earth to reflect, to shine\u2026then there is room for each of us to as well. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
