He will serve as moderator-elect for next year\u2019s Annual Conference, and as moderator for the 2016 Conference.<\/p>\n<p>Murray is a member of Stone Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon, Pa. He is a retired minister, chaplain, college professor and administrator. He was founding director of the Baker Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies at Juniata College. His involvements in peace and conflict studies have included service on the United Nations\/International Association of University Presidents\u2019 Commission on Arms Control and Disarmament Education, service as director of the International Seminar on Arms Control and Disarmament, service on the UNESCO\/IAUP Planning Team \u201cThe Role of Higher Education in Promoting a Culture of Peace\u201d roundtable for UNESCO World Conference on High Education, and more.<\/p>\n<p>However, Murray is best known to Brethren as a singer and songwriter who along with his wife Terry performs songs such as \u201cSister Anna Beauty Queen\u201d and the National Youth Conference theme song \u201cGoodbye Still Night.\u201d Their album \u201cSummertime Children\u201d recently was re-released.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><strong>Other election results<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rhonda Pittman Gingrich<\/strong> of Minneapolis, Minn., was elected to the Annual Conference Program and Arrangements Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eric Bishop<\/strong> of Pomona, Calif., was chosen as a Bethany Theological Seminary trustee, colleges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carla Gillespie<\/strong> of Dayton, Ohio, was elected to the On Earth Peace board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dennis Kingery<\/strong> of Centennial, Colo., was elected to the Brethren Benefit Trust board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David K. The appointments were made to the Church of the Brethren\u2019s Mission and Ministry Board, and to the boards of Bethany Theological Seminary, Brethren Benefit Trust, and On Earth Peace.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission and Ministry Board:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Susan Liller<\/strong> of New Carlisle, Ohio, was elected by the board to a five-year term ending in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bethany Theological Seminary Board of Trustees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brian T. Flory<\/strong> of Fort Wayne, Ind., was elected by the seminary\u2019s Alumni\/ae Association to a five-year term;<\/p>\n<p><strong>S. McElwee<\/strong> of North Manchester, Ind., was elected by the Pension Plan members to a four-year term; and<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wayne T.
